The Beach, of Course
The beach is just east of the Inn On The Avenue, an easy 2 block walk past shops and restaurants. Explore 17 miles of sandy beaches. We're also home to North America's most biologically diverse estuary, the Indian River Lagoon. There's ocean diving on the many wrecks, or try your hand at surfing. We were named the 4th best town for surfing by Surfing Magazine! There are backwater kayaking, paddle boarding, sunset dolphin tours; and we're the redfish capital of the world. The star attraction in New Smyrna Beach is its 17-mile stretch of white sandy beaches. Our beach is well known to surfers, offering some of the finest wave action on the east coast with wave breaks that are plentiful for expert and amateur surfers alike.
