New Smyrna Beach is known for its laid-back attitude and safe, wide white-sand beaches. With an eclectic mix of history, culture, the arts and nature, New Smyrna Beach (NSB) is no stranger to attention. The town is the preferred destination of many Central Floridians. Even residents of Florida have voted NSB, “Best Beach” in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012 in the Orlando Sentinel’s “Best Bets” Competition. New Smyrna Beach was also recognized as one of “The World’s Top 20 Surf Towns” by National Geographic Magazine in 2012.
